“From the beginning to the end, we are committed to each other”. These are the words that are forever engraved on this breath-taking statement piece from the mind of our sculptor. Created for Canadian Remembrance Day, this sculpture bears a write-up that was shared with the sculptor upon commission. Seeing as Mr. Davari experienced the reality of war when he was just 24, he can personally relate to the pain and sorrow that comes with serving in the nation’s defense. Here, the “Chain of Life” is selflessly and effortlessly held up by the hands of mother nature who never stops giving to keep her chain going, growing, and glowing. This sculpture boasts a striking contrast of earthy browns and bursts of yellow to signify the ever-evolving and unpredictable nature of the world. But at the heart of it all, one thing remains the same. The hand that holds the chain has never – and will never – let go.
