No matter how much progress man makes, nature always strikes back and repossesses its territory. This is clear in nature’s unstoppable growth all around us, and in the sculptor’s latest masterpiece representing the maple leaf as depicted on the Canadian flag. What begins as a small seed eventually explodes into something bigger, breaking through the soil and air to showcase its wild and overpowering supremacy. While the front of this sculpture shows what appears to be little more than a large leaf, a quick change in perspective will reveal where it all began – small, humble, but with the potential to sprout, flourish, and spread without limits.
